Ocean Entertainment produces award-winning television, with over 500 broadcast hours delivered. Our shows will take you down hidden paths, to the depths of the sea and to delicious destinations around the globe. Our shows air in the US on A&E Networks, NBCU/ Oxygen, Warner Brothers Discovery channels: Discovery, ID, HGTV, Food Network and Cooking Channel. Our shows are seen in Canada on CBC Television, Corus Entertainment’s Food Network and HGTV, and also AMI-TV & Vision.
Our team is made up of talented, experienced people both in front of and behind the camera, and our full service-production company oversees everything from show development, to production, and post-production.
Ocean’s small but mighty team are experienced service producers, having created series for Oxygen, Discovery US, Investigation Discovery, and Travel Channel for our clients. Our local Nova Scotia crews are hardworking and resourceful; always showcasing the very best our province has to offer.
Ocean’s recognitions include six Gemini Awards, two James Beard Awards, and numerous film festival prizes.

Our Team
Johanna Eliot
Johanna is President of Ocean Entertainment and Ocean Digital. She has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Calgary and is the key strategist for the Ocean group. As an Executive Producer, Johanna oversees all the hiring and budgets and personally guarantees the highest quality for all projects generated by Ocean. She is a member of the Canadian Film and Television Producers Association, the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television and The Canadian Independent Film Caucus. She also sits on the board of the Atlantic Chapter of EO (Entrepreneur Organization) and is a member of IWF (International Women’s Federation).
Jennifer Comeau
With over 20 years of film & television industry experience in development, production, post production, marketing and distribution, Jennifer oversees development and production of all of Ocean’s award-winning television series and documentaries. Jennifer was previously Animation Producer at Collideascope Digital; Director of Marketing & Distribution with Topsail Entertainment, and Sales & Marketing Coordinator with Salter Street Films. She is a member of the Board of Directors of AFCOOP, The Atlantic Filmmakers Cooperative, and a volunteer with Women in Film & Television, WIFT-AT.
Jeff Parker
Jeff Parker is a Halifax-based producer and filmmaker with over a decade of industry experience. As Story & Development Producer, he oversees all of Ocean Entertainment’s productions from inception to delivery. Jeff has worked as writer, director and producer for TV series that have appeared on Discovery, History Channel, Smithsonian TV, CBC, and more. He also holds an honours English degree from Mount Allison University (’10) and a Masters in Popular Culture from Brock University (’12).
